MIL-M-83495A, MILITARY SPECIFICATION: MANUALS, TECHNICAL: ON-EQUIPMENT SET, ORGANIZATIONAL MAINTENANCE MANUALS; DETAILED REQUIREMENTS FOR PREPARATION OF (FOR USAF EQUIPMENT) (12 OCT 1990) [S/S BY MIL-PRF-83495B]., This specification covers the requirements for theOrganizational Maintenance Manual Set (OMMS) for USAF equipment.The term "Organizational Maintenance" includes, but is notlimited to, the following: aircraft, missiles, space vehicles,Communications Electronic (CE) equipment, Support Equipment (SE),etc. This OMMS is based upon utilization of wiring data andsystem schematics prepared to DOD-STD-863. Use of standardizedSystem/Subsystem/Subject Number (S/S/SN) assignment in accordancewith MIL-STD-1808 provides maximum cross referencing, reducingresearch time required to locate needed data. In addition to"paper" delivery, this specification provides for electronic delivery of data through use of the Document Type Definitions(DTD) contained in the Appendices to this specification.
